Gift of life

Gift of life

Here’s a great story for you!

Life is Precious
Life is Precious

A group of scientists who having discovered the secrets of cloning decided they would have a conference with God to tell God He was no longer needed. Yes, God had created humanity and all of life, in fact, from the very dust of the earth. But now science had taken over the job and God could retire.

So the top scientists in the world gathered together and they called God to a conference having told God, He/She was no longer required.

God said, “Explain this to me.”

They said, “We now know how to make life out of dust ourselves.”

God said, “Well then, okay, you go ahead and show me how you can do that.”

So they reached down for some dirt and God said, “Uh, uh, uh, get your own dirt.”

I love that story because it just reminds us we get confused at times and think things really belong to us even our life itself.  We begin to forget at times how precious the gift is of our daily life.

Life is Precious

In everything we call ours, even our children, our spouses, our friends; they’re gifts on loan from the Universe.

How precious it is to have these gifts in our lives this day; to have eyes to see and ears to hear. This day is a gift and it all belongs to the one who sources all of this.

So this day let’s walk around in appreciation that we get to walk in the abundance of the gift of this life.

To Your Gift of LIFE,
Ade

What Are You Unconsciously Accepting?

Words of Wisdom

I love the scripture passage that talks about Paul’s experience after a shipwreck in Acts 28:3-6 : “Paul gathered a bundle of sticks, and as he laid them on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand. When the Islanders saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “Surely this man is a murderer. Although he was saved from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.” But Paul SHOOK the creature off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. The Islanders were expecting him to swell up or suddenly drop dead. After WAITING a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they CHANGED their minds and said he was a god!”

Guard your Mind
Shipwreck

When we read this passage, we might relate to it only as a historical event or we can choose to dig deeper to get insights and apply it to our life. For me, I see this passage as the drama of life taking place in the heart of everyone that walks the face of the earth. Whether they are aware of it or not it makes no difference. It’s operation, as the law of gravity, unfold in each and every one of us at different times during our journey on earth.

Environment is our looking glass

If we are not watchful, we might unknowingly allow our environment – people, institutions, friends, or even family members to project dis-empowering ideas or thoughts upon us. The scripture parallel relating to this idea is “The Islanders (which represents the worldview, society, institution, and race mind) were expecting him to swell up or suddenly drop dead”. If we allow those negative ideas, thoughts to take root by accepting and getting emotionally involved with them, they will take effect. This is not because those ideas or concepts have any power of their own. But, simply because we moved internally through our thoughts, feelings and moods; and gave power to them. By law, they will reproduce in our outward experience as conditions.

We all are immersed in the race or world mind; suggestions of the world are continually impinging upon our consciousness. Our mind receives according to our degree of receptivity.

The race mind operates like a silent killer. The person who is asleep can allow the race mind to awaken fear, doubt or worry in them; because they do not have the awareness and understanding to shake off the latent poison. They inadvertently move to the tune of the race mind internally and thus manifest that which is projected upon them. So sad yet so true!

What are you Focusing On?

Whatever we give attention to, and get emotionally involved with goes forth to produce its kind in our outer experience through circumstances and conditions whether positive or negative. The world – society or people we come into contact with may be projecting ideas and concepts based on our past behavior, background or experience. If one is asleep (not spiritually alert), those ideas can take root or continue to propagate themselves.

Remember your past does not define your future except you accept it and continue to get emotionally involved with those negative concepts. Nobody has power over another; the power is within each one of us. We are given the choice on how to use it whether for good (well-being) or evil (misery).

We need to shake off any unconscious latch the world – no matter what or who it is – want to place or project upon us and FOCUS on our ideal. Change occurs from the INSIDE OUT, not the other way round. Trying to change something on the outside without the corresponding INNER SHIFT is futile. If done correctly and persistently no power in the world can stop you, but they will come around to aid you.

This is so simple, sometimes misunderstood and made complicated. You see, we need to hold steadfast to that which we want. If I hold up a horrible painting in front of a mirror, it will reflect exactly the picture held before it. The mind is the mirror; that is why the Law of the Lord is always perfect. Our world is always a perfect reflection of our inner state of consciousness.

Develop the Habit for Success

Meanwhile for some people, this process might require a 90-day continuous discipline of the mind. The mind can be likened to a horse; I understand that it typically takes 90 days to tame a wild horse. The human mind, though more powerful than the horse, if left untrained can run wild and rule a person’s life. But when tamed can be our partner rather than our adversary. This takes practice and consistency.

Marcus Aurelius Said:

Our life is what our thoughts have made it!

A Video that is showing a horse trainer, watch how the wild horse is tamed. One needs to follow this process if they want to discipline the mind. This is a beautiful analogy of the conscious and subconscious mind brought into harmony. The subconscious mind is the powerhouse. It is written “As a Man thinks in his Heart (subconscious) so is he”. Through discipline and continuous practice a wayward mind is brought to subjection!

The more we commit to personal study and lean towards taming the mind the more we grow internally. With time our outer world will reflect that which we are dwelling upon internally.

Take Action

One sad thing that I have come to realize is that some people would rather choose to remain asleep. This is fine, and I respect their choice because honestly the world also needs its sleepers not everyone can play the role of an actor without an audience. It takes one who is asleep to show another person that they are awake. This is a world of contrast; a world of choices, for there cannot be an inside without an outside. My hope is that this article would stir someone who is asleep to wake up and embrace their divinity. This is the most thrilling and exciting period to be alive and as Alvin Toffler said:

The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot LEARN, UNLEARN, and RELEARN

If we do not think for ourselves, and if we do not cleanse our minds, we will suffer, because we allowed fear, false beliefs, and erroneous concepts of the world to impinge themselves upon us. Then the world-mind does our thinking for us and acts upon us bringing accidents, disease, suffering, etc., into our lives.

The world-mind is the mind which believes in disease, failure, misfortune, terror, and superstition. If we do not pray and cleanse our mind regularly, we may also get into trouble.

There is no chance or accident; for all is Law. There is a mind, a state of consciousness, which is the cause of all.

To your New Awakening!

The Creative Fancy – Through Playful Art

The Creative Fancy – Ideas

Creative Ideas
The Creative Process Starts with an Inspired Idea

I am amazed at how the depth of our soul can stream the very creative essence of life – Ideas – to our conscious mind through playful Art. One gets to put this on paper through visual symbols. Truly, when there is calmness in the soul, the Deep calls onto the Deep!

Recently I went to the Art Connects Heart presented by Zara and ever since that day, the deeper meaning of the painting that I drew has been streaming to my conscious mind like a soothing morning dew.

Today, I am so excited to share the painting I drew. I believe someone out there might benefit and run with the insights presented here. On the night of May 25, 2016, I stepped into the Art Connects Heart session. I didn’t know what to expect. Note that I am not an art person and color is not my strong point. For some reason, I had the desire to attend this session. I am glad that I did! Zara gave a short intro of her journey, and she then told us to pick any colors; it just needed to be spontaneous. Whatever color came up we should just go for it. She then told us to cut out three words from a sheet of paper which had several words written on it. We were to put them aside and use later on.

I would like to continue the activity of that day in a dialogue format:

The Creative Art

Zara: Said we should pick up a piece of blank drawing paper and begin to draw anything that comes to mind using the colors we had chosen.

Ade: You mean, draw anything? But I do not know how to paint?

Zara: Just paint anything that comes to your mind. It has nothing to do with whether you know how to paint or not. Don’t overthink it, just paint what comes up.

Ade: After hesitating and still struggling about how to go about it, I began to just draw lines across the blank paper. I was somehow feeling a little frustrated. This was not my cup of tea! I felt I was not in control especially when internally I was saying – I am not a painter or an artist!

Zara: After checking the other participants, Zara came over to my side, looked at what I was doing. She gently asked to take away the paper. She then gave me a new sheet of blank drawing paper, and told me to start all over again.

Ade: I believe removing my first attempt at painting was genius on the part of Zara. After she gave me the new blank page I relaxed and allowed myself to paint whatever came to my mind. I did this without judgement on my part as to whether I could paint or not. I now chose to allow the free FLOW of thoughts and assumed I was just playing and having FUN! Taking this posture seems to have allowed me to relax and put on paper what I finally painted.

Zara: Once you guys finish painting, write the words that come to your mind on the paper. Also glue the three words that you cut out earlier on. Please glue them wherever you feel like placing them.

Ade: After putting down my paintbrush. I looked at my painting. It felt like I had three sections or parts and it seemed logical to place the words on top of the three parts like headers for each section.

Zara: Came around to my side and asked what I had to say about my painting.

Ade: I told her honestly that the painting had no meaning to me but I could relate to the words I’d glued on top of the painting. The words were:

1.) Ideas

2.) Inspiration and

3.) Stir up Success

Apart from that, I felt the drawing had no meaning at all.

Zara: Went on to ask about the colors I had chosen. What did they mean to me?

Ade: Looking at the colors, I had chosen Blue – which to me meant Strength; Yellow meant something slippery and Green was life.

Zara: Asked what I thought was the meaning of the symbols that  I’d drawn.

Ade: I once again looked at the painting, and like a flash, an intuitive feeling welled up within me and I began to see pattern and meaning where there initially, seemed to be no pattern or meaning.

I would now like to explain the meaning that came to me that day and which continues to evolve as I look at the painting now pasted on my office wall. Even as I write this article, I feel this tingling sensation bubbling from the top of my head down to the soul my feet.

First Section of the painting – Ideas

When you look at the first section of the painting, I had the word “Ideas” at the top. What came to me was that Ideas are the first step in the creative process. We need ideas to create or birth our desires in this world – success, health, relationships etc. The essential ingredient that most people lack is ideas! We as human beings were once an idea in the mind of God and we are called to be co-creators through our ideas.

The three objects in this section represent a fish. Note that I drew them in yellow which depicts that ideas are like slippery fish (as I noted above, yellow meant slippery to me). In the middle of the fish symbol is a blue circle or dot – remember, blue meant strength – if you don’t firmly take hold of an idea it will slip away and might never be caught again.

The World needs more creative ideas

We need to take hold of the ideas that stream from our conscious mind otherwise we would lose them forever! To birth our desires we need to be aware of those ideas and latch onto them even if it looks like an impossible concept. This is the first step in the creative process.

Everyone – we human beings, are just one idea away from the solution we want. Facebook was once an idea and the world is yet to see or comprehend what is yet to be birthed through the human mind. We are one inspired idea away from the cure we want, one idea from the health we want, one idea from eradicating conflict in this our wonderful world! This now leads to the second section of my painting.

Second Section of the painting – Inspiration

The top of this section has the word – Inspiration. I had the impression that the idea that is caught must be fanned with the breath of inspiration born of faith otherwise it might die a still born. We should look at this as the beginning of germination of a seed. This require tending and nurturing held by faith. The premise is that the idea that is being incubated will come forth in due time.
Under this section I drew a wavy line in blue and a stick person on the side, which represented a calm river or a calm state of mind. The interpretation that came to me was that our mind needs to be free from any form of confusion. It is written “Be still and know that I am God”. It is in the silence that the idea is strengthened until it blossoms and manifests as health, wealth, relationship or whatever the desire might be.
Evolving Aspects

I still do not have clarity on what the other objects under this section represent but as I write this, looking at the painting, I am getting the impression that the drawing looks like a box – painted in blue – this represent strength and inside it is a circle in green which represents life.

This could mean the idea is drawing up life and is surrounded by the strength of inspired faith! Hmm, I believe this is what is coming up now! Interesting. Every day I look at the paining, it seems to evolve and release it’s deeper meaning!

The next section does not get manifested unless this section is done properly. Get a vivid picture of the idea or that which you want; retain that image; sustain it with joy, faith, and expectancy. Finally, in so doing you will succeed in experiencing its manifestation.

Third Section of the painting – Stir up Success

The top of this section has the word – Stir up success. This is the final stage of the creative act. The idea has now manifested for all to see, and this is depicted by the green tree symbol. The soil is painted in blue meaning the manifested idea continues to draw up strength from source and continues to grow into a fuller and richer expression. That is the wish of the Father for us all.

As we stir up our purpose, more ideas are given birth and the cycle continues from the first section – ideas- because we are changed from glory to glory.

I am amazed at the unfolding of this simple painting that initially seemed to have no meaning but over time has continued to reveal its content like a blossoming flower.

Let us Awaken our Ideas

The creative process of birthing our desire from the land of imagination is achieved by having a clear idea and holding faithfully to the idea using our will – this is not will power – but a silent inner assurance born of faith. In time the world is blessed and enriched by our manifested idea. Ralph Waldo Emerson said:
Science does not know its debt to imagination

Wake up fellow travelers! Let us stir up that juice of an idea that is streaming through our mind and by sustained faith we shall bless not only ourselves but our family and the larger community.

To your creative fancy!
Ade

Honor Your Discontent

June 18, 2016 By stiruppurpose Leave a Comment

Honor Your Discontent

We don’t always know what our life’s purpose or journey is supposed to be or we may have so many dreams we are overwhelmed with them all. However, one thing is for sure: if we are feeling restless or discontent we are not living our dreams! Feelings of discontent and longings for something else, even when we don’t know for sure toward what we are being drawn, are actually calls from God to pursue our greater good. We discover true desire by first noticing discontent.

Honor Your Discontent
Honor Your Discontent

When you experience discontent or feel restless and you’re not sure why, don’t shut it out just because you don’t know what it means. When you shut off your yearnings you become numb and paralyzed to create something more interesting. Bring those inner rumblings to the front of your mind for examination. These rumblings are nudging you toward a more meaningful existence and urging you not to settle for mediocrity. By opening yourself up to them for examination you are allowing your discontent to lead you toward your purpose.

We also need to be aware of messages from those around us and not let others criticize us into shutting down our dreams, or even our discontent. Restlessness is God speaking to us, telling us there is more out there and we are not here to lead limited cramped lives. Allow God’s voice to be louder and ring truer than anyone else’s. We are not here to settle for less than our purpose, nor should we settle for what anyone else limits us to. Each and every one of us has infinite potential for creating whatever it is we want to create.

You are Made to Conquer

Dreams and desires pull at us, tug at us, speak to us, and will not leave us alone because we are not meant to live cramped lives. Let these inner frictions rub until they create the spark that will ignite the fire of your own purpose. You will know when your desire is sincere. When just talking about it gives you energy and incites motivation in you, even when fruition is far off. Harness your positive energy to partake in the plan that is in store for you. In doing so, you will be honoring your discontent and letting it lead you to your greater good.

To Your Best Life,
Ade
