Creative Imagination in Action

Creative Imagination in Action

Creative Imagination

Would you like to see Creative Imagination in Action?

Let me share a story I read in one of Neville’s material recently with you:

It’s the story of a young girl who just turned seventeen.

“It was Christmas Eve, and she is sad of heart, for that year she had lost her father in an accident, and she is returning home to what seemed to be an empty house. She was untrained to do anything, so got herself a job as a waitress. This night it’s quite late, Christmas Eve, it’s raining. The car is full of laughing boys and girls going home for their Christmas vacation, and she couldn’t conceal the tears.

Luckily for her, it was raining, so she stuck her face into the heavens to mingle her tears with rain. Then holding the rail of the streetcar, this is what she did: she said, “This is not rain, why, this is spray from the ocean; and this is not the salt of tears that I taste, for this is the salt of the sea in the wind; this is not San Diego, this is a ship, and I am coming into the Bay of Samoa.”

And there she FELT the REALITY of all that she had IMAGINED.

Then came the end of the journey and all are out.

Ten days later this girl received a letter from a firm in Chicago saying that her aunt, several years before she sailed for Europe, deposited with them three thousand dollars with instructions that if she did not return to America, this money should be paid to her niece. They had just received information of the aunt’s death and were now acting upon her instructions.

One month later, this girl sailed for Samoa.

As she came into the bay, it was late that night and there was salt of the sea in the wind. It was not raining, but there was spray in the air. And she actually felt what she’d felt one month before, only this time she had realized her objective.”

Creative Imagination

That is the power of Creative Imagination in ACTION and to me this is the true art of PRAYER!

We can jump and scream for all we like but if our inner musing does not align with what we are doing on the outside “especially when we think no one is seeing us” we are just making noise. Well, if that jumping and screaming aligns with our inner musing and desire then that act will CAUSE the necessary shift on the outside.

I believe this the best time to be alive. Especially, with all the chaos and confusion around, the world needs people with Creative Imagination. Those who call things that is not as though they were.

As you go about your daily activity, set you creative juice in MOTION.

What do you really WANT?

When you just think of your desire it is a shadow lacking form. When you enter it and assume its truth and it becomes the only reality, and you are faithful to that assumption, very soon it would be made manifested in your world.

To your creative imagination.

Imagination Does Create Reality

Imagination Does Create Reality

Light your Imagination

Our vast world is built and continues to be built on imagination.

Both Good and Bad.

We all enjoy the luxuries and convenience of the CREATIVE use of imagination exercised by some and the limitations and chaos set in motion by the MISUSE of this same imaginative power by others.

Where do you stand?

Do you understand that at this very MOMENT you are setting things in motion, through your imagination, which will influence you, your family and your environment in the future?

What is Imagination you may ask? Simple definition is:

“The faculty or ACTION of forming new IDEAS, or IMAGES or concepts of external objects not present to the SENSES.”

We are ALL casting IMAGES; especially those mixed with FEELINGS, and by LAW because “Imagination Creates Reality” whatever is SOWN through this activity, is delivered as harvests in the future.

The sad truth is that many are not aware of this process and forever casts images that they do not want. In my study and research, I have come to realize that some people are influenced and compelled by the destructive use of IMAGINATION by someone in their family or lineage. The corollary of this is also true, some people are benefiting, probably not even aware of this fact, from the right use of this principle by someone in their family.

Who is Treading the Winepress?

Isiah said:

“I have trodden the wine trough alone, and from the peoples there was no man with Me. I also trod them in my ANGER and trampled them in my WRATH; and their lifeblood is sprinkled on My garments, And I stained all My raiment.“

To put it plainly, Yeats Said:

“Who knows who is treading in the winepress tonight, causing the subtle change in the MINDS of men? Perhaps he feels wrongfully accused, and is now sitting in jail thinking of getting even with society. That is treading in the winepress. When he can lift his THOUGHTS to the point of VISION, the ACT is committed, and it will manifest itself in the world of man. Who knows who is producing the changes in the MINDS of men today, producing war or peace?”

In other words:

If you know who you are and how imagination operates, you will learn to control your IMAGINAL activities. If you do not, they WILL be controlled for you by another, and you will become their VICTIM.

Do you believe this is possible?

Well, I am not here to persuade you but to ask that you check YOURSELF: “do you see any recurring PATTERN or HABIT, especially one that portrays limitations, lack, sadness etc. that play out not only in your own life but also, probably, in your family, community etc?”

Understand that a recurring PATTERN is a sure sign that you are dancing to an “invisible” imaginative influence.

As you read this line, PAUSE for a moment, take an inventory of your environment, and ask yourself: is it to my liking?

Whatever you see or feel, know that there is NO ONE to blame outside of YOURSELF for you have co-created whatever it is and will continue to co-create it if you do not begin to build NEW structures within YOURSELF!

There is no excuse.

As Neville also said:

“It’s entirely up to you how you use your IMAGINATION. The operation of your CREATIVE POWER is completely up to you.  You make the decision, and are therefore responsible for its effect on the world.”

To your new creative awareness.

The World is a Stage and all are merely Players

January 16, 2017 By stiruppurpose Leave a Comment

The World is a Stage and all are merely Players

All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many PARTS

The more I study and apply myself the more the words of Shakespeare rings true:

All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many PARTS

The parts are STATES that a person can fall into; states are like containers that have fixed attributes and characteristics. When a person falls into any of these innumerable states, he has no choice but to act out the characteristics or attributes of that state.

Just like an Actor or Actress who plays out his or her role beautifully. He does not question the role but portrays the characteristics of the role to the letter.

For example, a man or woman who occupies the state of “poverty” whether poverty of “character” or poverty of “finances” if given something contrary to the state, such as wealth, that person will before long  gravitate to its natural state of being. Poverty mindset will and must produce its kind no matter the changes on the outside without a corresponding change on the inside of that person.

Many are glued – like cement – into the “states” that they do not like and they are not aware of this fact. They keep reaping the same thing repeatedly and wonder, “what is the matter” with them.

All efforts to change things on the “outside” yield the opposite result. They are not aware that the content of the state they occupy dictates what they are getting, they are compelled to play the part that the role dictates!

Do you like the part you are playing?

Do you like the part that you are playing or do you admire the part that another is playing and think they are superior or have some kind of gift that you do not have? Perish the thought.

So the question is “can one move from one state to another?” Yes, this is possible but it takes understanding and awareness of the workings of the mind. The key here is to understand that each person is playing a part and without this awareness the individual “will dance” to the “swings of the part” and the influence of the race mind.

An awakening must happen on the inside.  Just like in the parable of the “prodigal son” the realization must come from “the within” and then movement to another state can take place. There are numerous states or parts: wealth, joy, peace, success, corruption, malice you name it, they are all states and anyone consciously or unconsciously enter these “states” and “play” the parts like good “actors” that the content of the state dictates.

The command is “in all your getting, get understanding”, understanding comes through study, practice and discipline. This then shows up in our life as experience. No one can take away your experience; it is yours and this is not based on theory or some intellectual prowess.

To your success

The Genesis of Awakening – Toastmasters

December 28, 2016 By stiruppurpose 1 Comment

The Genesis of Awakening

Toastmasters

This was the title of my final Toastmasters Speech. The 10th Speech from the Competent Communication Manual. For those who are not familiar with Toastmasters this project – Inspire Your Audience – challenges the speaker to draw all their skills together to deliver a powerful inspirational message.

It has been 2 years and 10 months since I joined Toastmasters. I can vividly remember the first day I stepped into my very first Toastmasters Club. I was like a lost and troubled lion who felt like a sheep but after that first night my awakening began because that night I was empowered to peer into the cave that I had always feared to enter. It was Joseph Campbell who said  “The Cave You Fear to Enter Holds the Treasure You Seek”

On the day that I stepped into the Toastmasters Club, a guy from China was presenting his own 10th speech. He began his speech by talking about his Toastmasters journey and experience. Because English was not his first language he had to first convert, in his mind, his sentences from Chinese to English before saying it in English, not only that he was also very shy and felt very uncomfortable when he gave his speech.

The Awakening

When I heard the comment made by the guy, what came to my mind was that it was not true, this guy must be telling a lie because looking at him on the stage, I saw only confidence oozing out from him and I could not connect this person to what he said he was previously. It seemed utterly impossible to me but when I looked around I saw the audience nodding their head in agreement and confirming that what he said was true. Mesmerized, as I watched him; my mind was racing 1000km per hour because I was thinking that this guy was talking about my situation and right before my eyes I could see the transformation that had taken place in his life.

Like a bolt of lightning I felt that my case was not sealed in stone. You see all these years I had thought I was meant to be a shy and introverted person…who ran away from every opportunity that required expressing himself in the public. That day the cloak of the sheep fell off my shoulders! I came to realize that whatever it was…was just in my imagination. Let me illustrate this with a challenge.

Imagine for a Moment

I want you to imagine that right here I have a big glass jug; placed on an imaginary table. The big glass jug has a very narrow neck and its a solid 1-inch glass. Inside this glass jug is a live goose. Now we have a very narrow necked, big glass jug, 1-inch thick, with a big live goose inside.

The challenge is, how can you get the goose out of that jug without breaking the jug, or harming the goose? You can’t pull the goose through the top because the neck is too narrow and it will harm the goose. It’s solid on the bottom; you can’t get the goose out the bottom. How can you get the goose out of the jug without harming the goose or breaking the jug?

Were you able to get the goose out? Did you struggle? I’ll tell how to get him out. You imagine him out of the jug. That’s how you got him in there in the first place.

That story represents my life; all this period believing a lie that I could not speak in the public or that I cannot express myself in a place where focus would be upon me was all imaginary. That’s the invisible boundary that some of us unconsciously hold on to. By joining the Toastmasters Club with the  supportive environment and practicing I began to imagine myself out of this imaginary cage.

Toastmasters Speech Contest
Contested and came 2nd at the 2016 Toastmasters International Area Speech Contest

But the journey continues as Alvin Toffler said “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn”

Next Steps

For me I have to unlearn certain old traits and relearn some new traits. One trait is talking too fast which I now understand is because of being self-conscious, I now catch myself and pace my speech and talk slowly and clearly.

So, question for you my reader is – what imaginary limitations might you be holding onto? What lie are your telling yourself, is your dream locked up in an imaginary glass jug that looks so real to you? Begin to imagine yourself out of it and in due time you will be free to live to your true potential.

To your freedom.
