Can You Quit That “Offline” Job for an Online Gig?

Someone once said, “anger is an acid that does more harm to the vessel it is stored in than the one it is poured upon.” Anger is a two-way street of pain, when you cause hurt, you hurt too.  Today I was looking at the tree in front of my house. Its  leaves, after staying for  a season decided that they  owed  the tree  no loyalty and  with  “dignity” were  falling  off it. This is a very natural occurrence and it is absolutely important that it happens if growth is to be progressive. But you see the tree did not ask the root to hurt because  it  had been providing water, it  didn’t ask  the branches to fight because it had  supported and held the leaves  for years…it just  stood upright, waited, watched and kept its other members  together.

It was an expert at letting go because it knew one thing, GROWTH DOES NOT HAPPEN BY HOLDING ON TO DEAD WEIGHT. It let go because it knew in no time, life would be green again!!

Online Concept

The concept of making money online is still more fable than reality for most people, especially those who are quite conservative and would rather have the evidence of an office and some form of identification before they can believe that one is employed.

However, there are a lot of business opportunities online and the world gradually is becoming more computerized than ever. It would be to one’s detriment if they do not swing with the tides. Change, they say is constant but one’s ability to adapt, master and use the change to their advantage is also very important. Today, shopping has never been as easy as it is now, thanks to online stores and home deliveries. This whole activity has been broken into little tasks that have become a source of earning an income for many young people. You can also think up ways to start something or look out for jobs online.

Mindset is Key

One of the things that would first pose a threat especially when one is venturing into new frontiers or exploring new horizons is a feeling of total rejection and loneliness. Not everyone would identify and understand your vision as you see it. The picture is in your head, and since people naturally do not walk around with x-ray machine, you will always be misunderstood, booed off the stage and called every name in the book.  People who once supported you through ice and hot coals might suddenly begin to avoid your calls or your person.

So when people decide they do not need you again, wait, watch and keep together what friends or materials you have left. If your roots are pure and your arms, like branches are kept outstretched, in no time life will be green again. People will always come and go but the question is would you venture out of your comfort zone? Would you try something new even when there is the possibility of being ridiculed?

Can Positive Thinking and Visualization Change Your Life?

Close your eyes and think of the most important goal in your life right now. It can be big or small, anything from losing twenty pounds to starting your own business or something equally as intense. Think about how much you’d like to accomplish whatever you are thinking of, and the emotional impact success will have on you. Now think about how long you’ve been in the “future goal” state. You know that the only one who can make a positive change in your life is you- so what’s stopping you from moving towards what you want? If you find yourself consistently stalling instead of making strides towards success, you may be holding yourself back from positive visualization.

Power of Belief

Positive visualization is exactly what it sounds like; taking time every day to see and imagine yourself achieving your goals. However, this is easier said than done. One of the most crucial aspects of positive visualization is believing in what you are picturing. The reason that positive visualization is so effective is because it acts as a motivator for us to step outside of our comfort zones and move confidently in the direction of our dreams.

You will have little motivation to take time out of your day to work towards your goals if you have no belief that they are actually attainable. For this reason, many experts recommend making a routine of process visualization. That is, visualizing each individual step you need to take to achieve your goal, and imaging yourself working towards your end goal. For example, if your ultimate goal is to run a marathon, taking a moment to visualize yourself getting off the couch and taking a jog around the block is the first step to finding the motivation to finish those twenty-six daunting miles.

Take Action

But what if you have no idea where to start your visualization? Many goals are concrete- becoming a teacher or losing weight have relatively straightforward paths that one might take. However, more nebulous goals require outside information and coaching. The Power of the Internet – All it took was ONE thing

In my coaching practice, empowering clients to live a fuller richer life, we focus on developing 4 core domain areas:

All it took was ONE thing

Recently, I was reading about a young woman from Malta the other day.  

(In case you don’t know, Malta is a tiny island in the sea south of Italy.)

She walked away from the business that her father built for her and her brothers.

Everyone in her family thought she was completely nuts, because she would have had a very comfortable lifestyle.

And her family thought she had definitely gone off the deep end when she told them she was going to make money online.

She started with no real idea of what to do.

So she just made posts to her Facebook page every day.

Not her “fan” page mind you… just her regular, personal page.

She just shared thoughts about life and what she felt it could be for everyone.

And little-by-little, she started to make money through recommending products and services to others.

Online Marketing

Then, in February of 2016 she found a new company that she loved.

It had an entire system in place… all she had to do was send visitors to a webpage and the system took care of the rest.

So she just kept posting to Facebook telling her friends and family about this new company she had found.

Four months later she cashed a commission check that put her over the $67,000 mark.

$67,000 in only four months.

Increasing Your Sense of Deserving

In order to manifest our dreams, we need to align our self-image with the life we would love living.

If your sense of deserving isn’t wide and deep enough to hold your dream, you will fall short.

How do you know if you deserve your dream?  If you are breathing, you deserve to have your heart’s desire.  Simply by virtue of you being alive you are worthy and deserving of your dream.

You wouldn’t feel the longing if you didn’t have the capacity to manifest your dream.

Here are three keys to increasing your sense of deserving:

 1. Focus on the good.

Circumstances are bad only if you perceive them as such.  Instead of panicking when life appears to throw you a curve, wait and invite God to reveal the good.  Then give yourself the same benefit of the doubt.  You are naturally good because God created you.

 2. Let go of past mistakes.

It’s hard to move confidently into the life you have imagined if you are lugging deadweight.  When you persist in carrying the baggage of your childhood, your shame or your belief that you are unlovable, you have no room for greater possibility.  Let go of encumbrances by identifying and releasing your own Harry.

3. Practice gratitude to increase your sense of deserving.

An “attitude of gratitude” enables you to construct your dream on a solid foundation of deserving.  Begin by spending a day giving thanks to those you’ve criticized.  From there, build a pattern of daily gratitude.  When we begin to appreciate those we once condemned or took us for granted, the field around the object of our appreciation broadens, attracting to itself even greater good.

When you practice these three principles, you will feel your sense of deserving expand and you’ll begin to see unexpected good things flow into your life.
